Unified Venue Control.
A unified control app connecting Cisco Vision, Crestron, and other venue systems.
Control media, displays, A/C, lighting, sliding doors, shades, and more—all from one interface.
The systems behind one control experience.
The customer need, my ownership, and the hardware constraints behind the experience.
The user problem
Suite owners, club managers, and admins needed to quickly control TVs, audio, lighting, and temperature in busy stadium suites and clubs without disrupting guests.
My contribution
I owned the end-to-end experience direction, UX/UI design, prototyping, and stakeholder presentations, partnering with engineering and third-party providers such as Crestron to define controls and support API integrations.
System constraints
The hybrid app supported iOS and Android across mounted tablets and mobile devices. Hardware differences, API availability, and third-party integrations such as Crestron shaped the controls, status feedback, and error handling.
One control experience. Across the stadium.
Smart Controller is deployed across suites, clubs, and admin at Amon G. Carter Stadium for TCU. Explore the hosted prototype below.
One workspace. Connected systems.
Choose a control, send a command, and confirm the device’s status—all from one interface.
- 01Choose a control
Select a device and adjust its settings.
- 02Send command
The integration routes your request to the connected system.
- 03Confirm device status
Check the returned status; show pending or retry when unconfirmed.
Suites · Clubs · Admin
Translate operator actions into system-specific commands; bring available status back into the interface.
Media and signage
Connected AV controls
Additional connected devices
Clear controls. Deliberate decisions.
User needs and system constraints shaped the controls, feedback, and recovery paths.
Interaction & system architecture
Early wireframes connect suite controls, device feedback, and a proposed integration model for the hybrid app.
A decision, explained
Keep suite status visible while detailed controls open on demand. A denser overview trades simplicity for context.
Every action, accounted for
Clear feedback shows when a device command is sending, confirmed, or needs attention—so users know what happened.

Delivered at scale. Refined through testing.
Venue adoption and engineering collaboration shaped a more responsive control experience.
Delivered work
Built versions for React web, iOS, and Android, adapting suite controls to each stadium’s hardware and integration needs across 70+ NFL, NBA, NCAA, rugby, cricket, and Olympic venues.
Evidence
Deployment across 70+ stadiums demonstrates adoption across different sports, venue environments, and hardware configurations. Task-speed and usability improvements were not formally measured.
Learning
Early testing revealed latency between the tablet, server, and device behind the TV. I partnered with Cisco engineers to revise how control triggers were communicated in XML, addressing delays between user actions and device responses.
