From MS-DOS to Agentic AI. Still Designing What’s Next.
Nearly 30 years of turning emerging technology into meaningful human experiences. I’m Terry Germany—a product design and experience leader connecting strategy, research, and hands-on design.
Across my career, I’ve worked where product design, emerging technology, and real-world scale meet. The through line is helping people navigate complexity with confidence.
Different technologies. The same human focus.

Where It Began
MS-DOS. Amiga. A curiosity about what computers could become.
Read this chapter
I started by building games for early personal computers, exploring interaction before UX became a mainstream discipline. Those early experiments taught me to think about how people discover, learn, and engage with technology.

Building at Scale
From an early Cisco business unit to connected experiences across more than 300 stadiums.
Read this chapter
In the mid-2000s, I joined a new Cisco business unit as its third employee and led product design from beta through deployment. Working alongside engineers at venues including Yankee Stadium, Cowboys Stadium, and Staples Center, I helped shape CiscoVision and how fans experience live sports and entertainment.
Led cross-platform experiences for Apple, Google, Cisco, and Intel across consumer and enterprise products.

Intelligence Enters the Experience
Led AI strategy, research, and prototyping for State Farm experiences—from conversational insurance to digital assistance.
Read this chapter
At Apple, I contributed to Apple Intelligence experiences and scalable design systems. At Google, I worked on Gemini-related experiences. At State Farm, I led AI experience strategy, UX research, and prototyping across conversational insurance, personalization, and digital assistance. I also helped shape platforms such as Upgather, connecting enterprise workflows, AI-assisted experiences, and scalable design systems across B2B and B2C products.

What Drives Me
I believe great design starts with understanding people, challenging assumptions, and connecting technology with human needs. The goal is to build experiences that make a real difference.
01
Understand people.
Start with their needs, questions, and the moments that matter.
02
Make complexity clear.
Turn complex systems into experiences that feel intuitive and human.
03
Connect vision to execution.
Bring strategy, research, design, and engineering together to move ideas forward.
The next chapter is about making AI useful, understandable, and firmly in people’s hands.
