Research & Discovery

Before jumping into any design, it’s crucial that I understand the market, users, and competition.

Market Research

  • Study trends in AI-driven trading and crypto markets.
  • Identify target users (retail traders, institutional investors, or beginners).
  • Analyze regulatory and security concerns related to crypto trading bots.

Competitor Analysis

  • Review existing AI trading bots
  • Identify gaps and pain points in existing solutions.

User Research & Personas

  • Conducted user interviews & surveys with traders.
  • Define personas (e.g., Casual Investor, Advanced Trader, AI Enthusiast).
  • Map out user pain points:
    • Overwhelming UI/UX in complex trading platforms.
    • Lack of trust in AI trading decisions.
    • High learning curve for beginners.

FigJam User Flow

We conducted qualitative user flow to validate assumptions regarding user problems. The insights gained took precedence and were subsequently integrated with findings from stakeholder insights and competitor analysis.

Competitor Analysis

Examining the competitors identified by our stakeholders, we initiated an analysis.

We analyzed competitors’ user flows and investigated potential actions that users might need to take when interacting with their products.

We identified several common features found in all Tax and FinTech products designed for enterprises.

Building on this insight, we conducted an in-depth analysis to compare their user experience and functionality. No research is truly comprehensive without a qualitative research tool, and that became our next imperative step in the research phase.
